Melanie works primarily with adolescents, teens, and young adults who are navigating anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation challenges, identity exploration, and significant life transitions. She also has experience supporting clients processing past experiences that continue to impact their daily functioning. Melanie understands that these stages of life can feel overwhelming, confusing, or isolating, and she strives to help clients feel supported as they build clarity, confidence, and a stronger understanding of themselves.
Melanie’s therapeutic approach is integrative and collaborative, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, play-based interventions, and mindfulness-informed practices. She tailors therapy to each client’s unique needs, helping them develop practical coping skills while also exploring the deeper patterns influencing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Her work emphasizes building self-awareness, resilience, and confidence in ways that feel accessible and sustainable.
In session, Melanie is intentional about creating a calm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to express themselves openly. She believes therapy should be a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to show up authentically. By incorporating mindfulness and grounding techniques, Melanie supports clients in staying present while strengthening their ability to navigate stressors both inside and outside the therapy room.
Melanie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Miami and her Master of Science in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. As a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, she is committed to ongoing learning and clinical growth, ensuring her work remains thoughtful, ethical, and responsive to each client’s evolving needs.
Melanie provides in-person therapy at CMC Therapy’s Davie, Florida location and may also offer remote sessions when clinically appropriate. She works closely with clients to ensure care feels consistent, supportive, and aligned with their goals, whether sessions take place in the office or virtually.
