Professional statement

Michael Keigher, LCSW helps young adults and professionals strengthen their executive functioning, improve emotional regulation, and heal from past experiences that impact the present.

His style is collaborative, practical, and rooted in evidence-based approaches such as ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. All of his practices are done within a trauma-informed framework.

Clients often describe their work with Michael as supportive yet challenging in the best way. Work where you feel heard, understood, and encouraged to take meaningful steps forward.

Together, you’ll identify patterns, build tools for day-to-day challenges, and foster lasting changes so you can feel more confident, capable, and clear about your path ahead. In therapy, you are the captain of the ship and Michael is the navigator to help you reach your goals and destination. Let's set sail today!

Message to clients

Feeling like a mess in a world that wants you to have it all figured out? Same.

Let’s be honest: Change is hard (even when it’s good or what you chose). Whether you're starting college, navigating early adulthood, managing relationships, or facing big questions about who you are and what you want.

Here's the thing... You don't need to process it all alone. Therapy can be the space where you process and figure things out. And with me, therapy is without judgment, pressure, or weird florescent lighting.

My clients are often reflective, engaging, and experiencing burnout. They’re trying their best (and tired of pretending that’s enough). Together, we create space for real conversations, reflection, accountability, and eventually insight and change. I’m a big believer that healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time.

You don’t need to have a specific “goal” to start therapy. You might just be tired of pretending you’re fine. You might want to stop spiraling at 2 AM, or to figure out why the smallest things feel so overwhelming. You are not broken. You’re burnt out, probably overthinking, and definitely doing your best. Let’s start there and get to work.
