Professional statement

Mike is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker serving Rhode Island and Massachusetts with 10 years of hands-on clinical experience across emergency room crisis intervention, mental health diagnostics, group therapy, health insurance management, and connecting clients with local available resources.

He's a Rhode Island native and alum of both Providence College and Rhode Island College; receiving his Bachelor of Social Work from the former and Master of Social Work from the latter. Prior to opening his full-time therapy practice, he worked for years in hospital settings such as Butler Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital.

That experience has shaped an approach that understands the importance of helping clients set their own goals to work through the very real challenges we all face.

Message to clients

Working with a new therapist can feel… strange. I’m basically a complete stranger you’re potentially trusting to help navigate some of your most significant life challenges. I love working with clients who are motivated, willing to learn, and ready to challenge themselves! Sessions consist of both "deep dive" emotional exploration and the development of coping strategies aimed at feeling better sooner rather than later.

Currently, I am providing 100% telehealth services to individuals residing in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. I do not have the ability to prescribe or refill medications.
