Message to clients

Years ago, I was sitting where you are, searching therapist profiles online, trying to find a person who could possibly help. I had been depressed for a few years at that point. I had no idea how to determine who would be a good fit for me or if whatever type of therapy they did would be effective. I wanted relief immediately and didn't want to waste my time. It took some trial and error before I found the person who helped me access and come to terms with a lot of pain in my life.

I know you're probably searching for relief as soon as possible. Just being here, looking for a therapist, is a step in the right direction. You're taking action in your life and that, in and of itself, is often therapeutic.

If all I do is help you narrow down your search and get closer to finding a clinician with whom you feel a therapeutic connection, I would be more than happy to speak with you and help you in that process.
