Professional statement

Milton is a licensed psychologist in full-time private practice, offering online counseling and psychotherapy to children age 10 and up, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Milton is licensed in New York, Massachusetts, and Florida.

Milton’s primary therapeutic approach is Internal Family Systems (IFS), also known as the parts model. IFS is an experiential method that focuses on relieving psychological symptoms, healing emotional wounds, and improving individual and relational functioning by fostering inner connection with the various parts of the mind.

Milton has worked in education and mental health for almost forty years, including more than a decade in residential treatment centers for adolescents and young adults. For the past 17 years, he’s been in private practice. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and a doctorate in psychology from the University of Miami.

Message to clients

Hello, I’m glad you found me here and hope I can be helpful to you.

I see clients online Monday through Friday during standard business hours, along with Saturday mornings, through secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions.

In our first meeting, I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain. Together, we’ll begin to identify ways I can support you in reaching important goals.

Many of my clients enter therapy feeling stuck or lost, not sure where to turn, and not sure where they fit in. Therapy can help you develop or rekindle a sense of belonging — within your own mind, in the groups that you are a part of, and in the world. Therapy can help you rediscover the joy and meaning in being alive. It’s my job to help you get there.
