Message to clients

Hi, I’m Moira! I am a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in working with adults whose trauma experiences continue to affect their daily lives. Many of the people I work with are highly capable, but feel stuck, overwhelmed and exhausted from carrying the pain of their past. Trauma may show up as anxiety, depression, disordered eating, substance use, or a sense of disconnection from the body.

I integrate evidence-based, trauma-focused approaches tailored to each client's needs. My work emphasizes emotion regulation, body awareness, and relational safety, while supporting you in building insight and sustainable coping skills.

My practice is social justice informed and grounded in an anti-oppression framework. I attend to the ways in whcih race, culture, sexuality, gender identity, and systemic oppression shape our experiences of trauma and healing. I strive to offer a space where clients feel respected, affirmed, and understood within their full context. I look forward to supporting you on your healing journey to being more present, grounded, and content.

I work with adults in virtual outpatient therapy and offer a thoughtful, collaborative apporach to trauma treatment. My work with clients has often been described as grounding, supportive and collaborative. I take time to build safety and trust, move at a pace that feels manageable to you, and center your goals and values. If you are looking for a therapist who understands both the personal and systemic dimensions of trauma, I invite you to reach out.
