Message to clients

Hi, I’m Moira! I am a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in working with adults who are affected daily by stressful and traumatic experiences. Many of the people I work with are highly capable, but feel stuck, overwhelmed and exhausted. My clients are often trying to manage the effects of both individual and systemic stressors and traumas in a way that honors their sense of self, relationships, and communities.

I integrate evidence-based approaches tailored to each client's needs. My work emphasizes emotion regulation, body awareness, and relational safety, while supporting you in building insight and sustainable coping skills. My areas of expertise include complex trauma and PTSD, anxiety, mood disorders, eating disorders, substance abuse, and OCD.

My practice is social justice informed and grounded in an anti-oppression framework. I attend to the ways in which race, culture, sexuality, gender identity, and systemic oppression shape our experiences of trauma and healing. I strive to offer a space where clients feel respected, affirmed, and understood within their full context. I look forward to supporting you on your healing journey to being more present, grounded, and content.

I work with adults in virtual outpatient therapy and offer a thoughtful, collaborative approach to therapy. My work with clients has often been described as grounding, supportive and collaborative. I take time to build safety and trust, move at a pace that feels manageable to you, and center your goals and values. I invite you to reach out.
