Professional statement

Dr. Molly Zale Oxman is a licensed clinical psychologist. She has been practicing for 15+ years in a variety of healthcare settings. She provides individual, telehealth therapy. As a member of PsyPact, she is able to work with patients in any of the 42 PsyPact participating states.

She specializes in working with people-pleasing patterns, boundary burnout, and high-functioning anxiety, particularly with women college-aged and above. Her work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), combined with a practical, compassionate style that helps clients create real change in their daily lives.

Patients she works with often experience high-functioning anxiety, chronic worry, and mental fatigue, along with people-pleasing patterns and difficulty saying no. Many struggle with setting and maintaining boundaries in family, romantic, academic, or work relationships, and carry persistent feelings of guilt, self-criticism, or fear of disappointing others. Over time, these patterns can lead to emotional overwhelm and burnout, even for those who appear capable and high-achieving on the outside.

Through therapy, patients often develop greater confidence in setting and maintaining boundaries, experience reduced anxiety and emotional reactivity, and strengthen their self-trust and decision-making. Many report healthier, more balanced relationships and a stronger sense of calm and control in their day-to-day lives.

She is committed to helping her patients build a deeper awareness of themselves, develop new coping skills, and make meaningful changes in their lives. Her goal is to empower her patients to not only overcome challenges, but also to grow and thrive as they move forward on their path. Sessions are tailored to your goals and paced intentionally to support meaningful, lasting change.

Message to clients

Many of the people I work with are deeply capable, thoughtful, and caring. They’re often described as “strong,” “reliable,” or “the one who holds everything together.” Yet privately, they feel exhausted, anxious, and unsure how to stop overextending themselves without guilt.

Therapy with me is collaborative, structured, and deeply respectful of your lived experience. We focus not only on understanding why certain patterns developed, but also on building skills that allow you to respond differently with more clarity, confidence, and self-trust.

Together, we will work to reduce chronic anxiety and overthinking, build boundaries that align with your values rather than fear or guilt, and develop emotional regulation skills that are effective in real-world situations. Therapy also focuses on shifting patterns of self-criticism toward greater self-compassion, while strengthening relationships in ways that honor your needs, limits, and sense of self.

I believe therapy should feel both supportive and purposeful. You don’t need to be “fixed”. You need space, insight, and tools that help you live in a way that feels sustainable and authentic.

The first session with me is an opportunity to begin building a therapeutic alliance. I will ask you questions about what is happening currently in your life that is bringing you to therapy at this time. I will also begin to gain a better understanding of what led to you being in the place you are in. We will identify what your goals are for therapy and work together to create a treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.
