Professional statement

Naomi Rawitz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist, and EMDRIA-Certified Therapist who helps individuals and couples improve their relationships—with themselves, their bodies, and each other. She specializes in issues of sexual wellbeing, including those related to desire, difficulty experiencing pleasure, erectile concerns, and painful sex. Naomi also supports clients navigating gender and sexual identity and mind-body connection. In her couples work, Naomi helps partners move through disconnection, communication breakdowns, emotional intensity, and challenges with feeling seen. She creates a space where both partners can be heard, understood, and supported in rebuilding trust, pleasure, and secure connection.

Naomi also works extensively with professionals in high-responsibility, caregiving roles—such as physicians, therapists, teachers, and academics—who are navigating burnout, perfectionism, vicarious trauma, or the ongoing tension between professional success and personal wellness. Her approach is always non-pathologizing and deeply attuned to the systemic issues and formative experiences that shape how we cope, connect, and care for ourselves and others.

Naomi offers a warm, affirming space grounded in curiosity, compassion, and respect. Her integrative approach draws from EMDR, IFS (parts work), somatic practices, and insight-oriented work—all within a relational, trauma-informed framework. She believes healing happens in connection, and works diligently to ensure her clients feel secure and able to make progress toward their goals.

Right now Naomi's practice is fully virtual. This means that all sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-Compliant telehealth platform. Naomi's practice is also out-of-network with insurance plans, but she is happy to walk clients through the process of accessing out-of-network benefits. By not going through insurance, your privacy at Naomi's practice is fully protected—no insurance reports, no required labels. This allows therapy to remain a confidential space where you can speak openly, without concern about how it might impact your records or professional life.

Message to clients

Therapy is a powerful investment in yourself and your relationships. When you’re willing to show up with honesty, consistency, and openness to practice between sessions, meaningful healing becomes not just possible, but likely. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you're returning at a new chapter in your journey, reaching out is a courageous and important step.

If we have the opportunity to work together, my goal is to create a space where you don’t have to hold it all together or have the answers. I’ll respect your drive, honor your insight, and support the part of you that’s ready to grow in new ways. Sometimes our work will look like slowing down to listen deeply within, sometimes it will mean letting go of old strategies that once served you well. Regardless of your healing path, I’ll meet you with curiosity, care, and honest reflection. While I may gently challenge you at times, I’m not here to fix or pathologize you. I’m here to collaborate—with respect for your pace, your inner wisdom, and your innate capacity to evolve.

Healing isn’t always linear—especially if you’ve carried a lot alone, faced early life challenges, or internalized the need to achieve or push your way through pain. But it is possible. Real transformation happens in the context of a secure, trusting relationship--so if you have any questions or concerns about my practice or what our work could look like, I'd love to hear from you.
