Professional statement

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) who works with children, adolescents, and adults. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, gender identity concerns, trauma-related challenges, high stress, and periods of crisis or major life transitions. Many of the individuals I work with are seeking a supportive space to feel understood, build coping skills, and move toward greater emotional stability and resilience.

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed and client-centered. I believe past experiences play a significant role in how we cope with emotional pain and life’s stressors, and I work collaboratively with clients to better understand these patterns. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. When working with children, I incorporate Play Therapy and am currently pursuing my Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential.

I have over six years of clinical experience working across multiple levels of care, including inpatient treatment, PHP/IOP programs, crisis services, outpatient settings, and school environments. This diverse background allows me to support clients with a wide range of concerns and to meet them at varying levels of need.

My goal in counseling is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and attentive environment where clients feel comfortable being authentic and vulnerable. I offer both in-person and remote therapy sessions through Exceptional Wellness Counseling, providing flexible options to support clients throughout their therapeutic journey.

Message to clients

I know starting therapy can feel intimidating, uncertain, or even overwhelming at first. My hope is that from our very first session, you feel welcomed, heard, and respected for exactly who you are and where you are in your journey. You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming in — therapy is a space where we can slow things down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and take things at a pace that feels right for you.

I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can be authentic and vulnerable without fear of being misunderstood. I approach our work collaboratively and will meet you with curiosity, compassion, and honesty. Whether you’re navigating long-standing challenges or something new and unexpected, my goal is to support you in building insight, coping skills, and confidence as you move toward healing and meaningful change.
