Professional statement

Dr. Conte is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with young adults, college students, and adults navigating periods of stress, transition, and high demand. Her clients are often individuals who are used to functioning at a high level but find themselves feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck. She has particular expertise in working with individuals in high-stress careers, athletes and high performers, as well as those coping with chronic pain. Many of her clients seek a focused, thoughtful approach to managing anxiety, improving performance, and regaining a sense of well being. As a former Division I athlete, Dr. Conte understands both the pressures of performing at a high level and the desire to develop the skills and insight needed to maintain and elevate performance.

Dr. Conte takes a collaborative, practical approach to therapy, grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She helps clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns while also building psychological flexibility—the ability to respond more effectively to stress, uncertainty, and internal experiences. Her work integrates structured, evidence-based strategies with a focus on values, helping clients take meaningful action even in the presence of anxiety or discomfort. Treatment emphasizes emotional regulation, resilience, and the ability to function effectively under pressure, with tools that can be applied in real time.

With over 25 years of clinical experience, Dr. Conte has worked across hospital and private practice settings. Through years of clinical experience, she has gained a strong understanding of how people respond to ongoing stress and life challenges, and what helps them adapt and move forward. She is licensed in New York and Florida and offers telehealth sessions in both states. Her practice is private pay, and she provides out-of-network superbills for potential reimbursement, maintaining a focused caseload to support individualized care.

Message to clients

You may be someone who is used to handling a lot on your own—performing well in school, work, or other areas of your life—yet still finding yourself feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck. Through years of clinical experience, she has gained a strong understanding of how people respond to ongoing stress and life challenges, and what helps them adapt and move forward.

Before starting therapy, it can be helpful to know that my approach is both practical and focused. We will work to better understand what is contributing to your distress, while also developing strategies you can use in your daily life to feel more in control, more grounded, and more effective. At the same time, therapy offers space to step back, think more clearly, and approach challenges in a different way.

My hope is that our work helps you feel less overwhelmed by your thoughts and emotions, and more able to move forward in a way that aligns with what matters most to you. Reaching out can feel like a big step, but it is often the beginning of meaningful change.
