Rachel Kollar, MA CRC, is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern in St. Petersburg, Florida. Rachel works with individuals across all life stages, with a special focus on adolescents and young people navigating the unique challenges of growing up. She has particular expertise in supporting adolescents who are neurodivergent or have intellectual exceptionalities, creating a therapeutic environment that honors each client’s individuality and strengths. Rachel also works with adults facing anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship difficulties, grief, or major life transitions.
Her therapeutic style integrates creativity, evidence-based practices, and a trauma-informed perspective. Rachel draws from Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to help clients shift unhelpful beliefs, strengthen self-worth, and reframe their personal stories. She often incorporates Gestalt techniques and mindfulness practices, especially when working with anxiety, trauma, or depression. With adolescents, Rachel focuses on helping clients develop self-understanding, coping strategies, and stronger communication skills—while collaborating closely with families when appropriate. She supports both individuals and couples in cultivating healthier relationships, boundaries, and emotional connections. At the core of her approach is the belief that therapy is not about fixing what is “broken,” but about creating space for resilience, clarity, and authentic self-expression.
Rachel holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and has specialized training in trauma-informed care and creative, experiential modalities. Her professional experience includes supporting clients with mood disorders, addiction, grief, and life transitions, as well as facilitating groups rooted in art and drama therapy. Rachel offers therapy sessions in-office, as well as through secure telehealth services for clients across Florida. She is currently accepting new clients and provides flexible scheduling options to meet diverse needs.
