Rachel McCrystal is a mental health therapist and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in RI, MA, NJ, and CT. She specializes in depression, anxiety, ADHD/ neurodivergence, body image, disordered eating, anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, body dysmorphia, trauma, attachment, stress managment, & life transitions.
Rachel received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, while participating in clinical research and non profit work. She then pursued a Masters in Social Work from Boston College, and graduated with a certificate in Spanish for Social Workers. While there, she interned in various school districts, gaining experience working with youth of all ages.
Rachel holds a Trauma Certification from Rhode Island College and a certificate in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She is a Chapter Member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She is also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor who is passionate about body image, self esteem, and healing from disordered eating.
She has spent the last decade working in community mental health agencies, substance abuse treatment centers, non-profit organizations, research labs, school districts, outpatient offices, and residential settings. This wide range of experience brings a well-rounded and unique approach to care.
