Rebecca Kinman, LCSW (she/they), is a licensed clinical social worker who provides therapy for teens and adults. She specializes in supporting neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients, as well as those navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, gender dysphoria, and life transitions. Drawing from both lived and professional experience, Rebecca offers a collaborative and affirming space where clients can explore identity, heal, and develop practical strategies for growth.
Her therapeutic approach is structured, relational, and client-centered. She integrates evidence-based modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy, while remaining open to alternatives to traditional “talk therapy.” Consent and client choice are central to her work, and she emphasizes tools that clients can apply in daily life.
Rebecca holds a Bachelor’s degree in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Portland State University. Her academic and clinical focus includes racial equity, trauma-informed care, feminist and solution-focused therapy, LGBTQIA+ aging, migration, and anti-oppressive practice. She has also received post-graduate training in ADHD, Bipolar I & II, OCD, and more. Rebecca’s late ADHD diagnosis at age 42 deepened her understanding of the neurodivergent experience and informs her work with clients navigating similar challenges.
Based in Portland, Oregon, Rebecca offers secure telehealth sessions to clients across the state. She works with clients weekly at a consistent day and time to foster therapeutic continuity and meaningful progress.
