Professional statement

Sarah Fultz is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in Thousand Oaks, California. She works with young adults and adults navigating a wide range of challenges, including trauma, anxiety, anger, addiction, and the impact of online relationship scams. Sarah has a particular passion for supporting LGBTQ+ clients, including teenagers and young people who may be exploring their identities or facing unique stressors.

Her therapeutic approach is holistic and client-centered, honoring each person’s individuality and allowing clients to guide the direction of their sessions. Sarah integrates Brainspotting to help clients process past experiences, while also drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to provide practical tools for daily life. Mindfulness practices are also woven into sessions to encourage self-awareness, resilience, and a stronger connection to mind, body, and spirit.

Sarah earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. With a foundation of compassion, patience, and deep respect for her clients, she believes everyone deserves to feel accepted, loved, and empowered to lead meaningful lives. Her goal as a therapist is to help clients find greater joy, ease, and hope as they move through their healing journey.

Sarah offers therapy from her office in Thousand Oaks and also provides remote telehealth sessions to clients across California. Whether meeting in person or virtually, she is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can show up authentically and take meaningful steps toward healing and growth.

Message to clients

I want to begin by saying how grateful I am that you are considering starting this journey with me. Reaching out for therapy takes courage, and I want you to know that from the very first session, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and respected. Every story matters, and I deeply value the trust it takes to share yours.

Before we get started, it’s important for you to know that therapy is a collaborative process. I bring my professional training and experience, and you bring your lived experiences, insight, and strengths. Together, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you. There’s no expectation for you to have everything figured out or to show up perfectly—our sessions are a place where you can simply be yourself.

My hope is that through our work, you gain clarity, tools, and confidence to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease. Therapy isn’t about fixing who you are, but about supporting you in uncovering and strengthening the parts of yourself that are already resilient and resourceful. My commitment is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and respect for your unique journey.
