Professional statement

Sarah Leveillee is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Rhode Island. She works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and periods of feeling stuck or disconnected. Many of Sarah’s clients come in when they find themselves caught in cycles of worry, overthinking, racing thoughts, or a sense of being “on edge” without fully understanding why it happens. Sarah is particularly passionate about serving individuals during vulnerable life transitions, including during the pregnancy and postpartum time period. She has advanced training in perinatal mental health.

Sarah utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which uses mindfulness, values clarification, and behavior change strategies to help clients relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions. In session, Sarah focuses on helping clients slow down, increase awareness of their internal experiences, and take meaningful steps toward what matters most to them. This approach supports clients in building psychological flexibility, reducing emotional avoidance, and creating lasting, values-driven change.

Sarah’s style is relatable, collaborative, and grounded in respect. When a client first comes in, she prioritizes creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental so clients can speak openly and feel truly heard. Sarah is dedicated to providing a therapeutic relationship that is warm, honest, and rooted in trust.

Sarah received her graduate degree in Counseling and has gained experience working with adults across various clinical settings, which enables her to thoughtfully support clients through complex emotional challenges and transitions. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and cooking.

Message to clients

With over a decade of experience in the counseling field, Sarah has supported adults experiencing anxiety, depression, perinatal mental health concerns (including postpartum depression and anxiety), self-esteem issues, life transitions, and substance use. In working together, clients develop a deeper understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences, while learning to cultivate self-compassion, manage stress, and focus on what matters most to them.

Sarah works with adults ages 18 and over and is currently accepting clients for telehealth therapy in Rhode Island. She is in-network with Blue Cross, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna and Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island. Her self-pay rate is $125 per session. Sarah offers a free 15-minute consultation to discuss therapy goals and ensure a good fit, and encourages interested clients to send a message to get started.
