Shaelyn Cataldo, LMHC-A, PMH-C is dedicated to intergenerational healing. Her work is rooted in the belief that much of what we carry did not start with us, but it can shift with us. She helps clients identify where their pain is shaping their present and where it is keeping them from the life they want to live.
Her approach bridges modern science and ancient wisdom in a way that is both grounded and soulful. Integrating EMDR, somatic therapy, parts work, and expressive practices, she helps clients reconnect to their body, understand the patterns and beliefs that formed over time, and begin to relate to themselves differently. Her work is not just about insight. It is about embodied change.
Shaelyn works with thoughtful, self-aware adults who often appear capable on the outside but feel stuck, disconnected, or caught in painful internal patterns. Many of the women she supports struggle with their relationship to food, their body, or their sense of self-worth, alongside anxiety, perfectionism, and people-pleasing. She also works with individuals navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and the identity shifts that come with motherhood, where these patterns often become more visible.
At the core of her work is helping people come home to themselves. Trauma and dysfunction can create distance from who you are, from your body, and from what you feel. Therapy becomes a space to rebuild that connection, to reparent the parts of you that were never met, and to create something different moving forward.
Shaelyn is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate with specialized training in EMDR and certification in perinatal mental health. She offers in-person sessions in Cranston, Rhode Island, and telehealth throughout the state.
