Hi, I’m Shelby Decker, and I’m so glad you’re here! I believe therapy should feel like a safe, supportive space where you can show up exactly as you are without judgment. Life can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re carrying anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, burnout, or major life transitions on your own. You don’t have to navigate it alone.
I specialize in working with teen girls, young adults, women, and parents who are struggling with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, identity changes, trauma, self-esteem, and the pressure of balancing everyone else’s needs while losing connection with themselves. I also have experience supporting veterans, adolescents in higher levels of care, individuals with developmental disabilities, and mothers navigating maternal mental health challenges including postpartum stress, anxiety, and depression.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients better understand patterns, regulate emotions, improve communication, and develop practical coping skills that create lasting change. I especially enjoy helping clients who feel “stuck” learn how to manage intense emotions, challenge negative thought patterns, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others.
Whether you’re a teen trying to navigate emotions and relationships, a young adult figuring out your identity and future, or a parent feeling burnt out and overwhelmed, therapy can be a place to reconnect with yourself and move toward the life you want to create. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, empowered, and more confident in your ability to handle life’s challenges.
