Susan Ryerson, LICSW has extensive experience in helping college students, adolescents and adults manage challenges related to ADHD, anxiety and depression. She is certified in both CBT and ADHD practices. Susan is warm, compassionate and motivated to help clients understand and manage their challenges. Susan’s evidence based approach helps the client uncover struggles and barriers which are interfering with living a more fulfilling life. Working as a team, Susan helps clients create individual strategies to help manage their particular issues.
As a certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, Susan finds this approach along with a strength based perspective a cornerstone in treating anxiety, depression and ADHD symptoms.
Susan has 15 plus years of experience working with young adults, adolescents and adults. ADHD is of particular interest to Susan because she finds it alarming that ADHD is still a very misunderstood disorder. Those who work closest to individuals with ADHD often have little or no understanding of how ADHD brains work and therefore can leave such negative psychological scars. Susan’s hope is to teach and empower ADHD clients about ADHD so that they understand their own symptoms, develop strategies to help manage these, and then confidentially and comfortably express their additional needs to professors, teachers, doctors, family and friends so that they also continue to learn about ADHD.
Susan's approach is kind, compassionate and friendly. She is motivated and a true team player.
Client's leave treatment with helpful strategies they can take with them for life. If you are struggling, please reach out to Susan and together you will discover a path to help lead you to a more fulfilling and joyful life.
