Dr. Messer provides individual therapy, couples therapy, and psychological assessment for adults. She takes an integrative, evidence-based approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, harm reduction, and motivational interviewing.

She has worked as a clinical and cognitive rater at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, conducting diagnostic and neuropsychological assessments. She completed her internship at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center, where she provided individual, group, and couples therapy, as well as neuropsychological assessments for Veterans with a wide range of psychiatric conditions. Dr. Messer is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center, where she conducts suicide prevention research, provides therapy for PTSD and related disorders, and performs neuropsychological assessments.
