Professional statement

Dr. Talee Vang is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with high-performing professionals navigating the psychological demands of leadership and high-responsibility careers. Many of her clients are women of color in corporate leadership, physicians, healthcare professionals, and executives who have built successful careers while quietly carrying the pressure of constant performance, complex expectations, and the responsibility of being the one others rely on. For leaders who are often the only or the first in their roles, these pressures can be compounded by heightened visibility, added scrutiny, and a sense of isolation that few others fully understand.

In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Vang has served in senior healthcare executive leadership, giving her firsthand understanding of the realities leaders face—high-stakes decision making, crisis management, organizational politics, leadership isolation, and the emotional toll of sustained responsibility. Her clients often seek therapy when anxiety, burnout, decision fatigue, or persistent self-doubt begin to interfere with their ability to function at the level they expect of themselves.

Dr. Vang’s therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based psychological science, drawing from CBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. She also integrates principles from Liberation Psychology to help clients understand how identity, culture, systemic pressures, and lived experiences shape their internal world. Her work focuses on helping high-achieving individuals build sustainable emotional resilience, clarify their values, strengthen boundaries, and restore a sense of balance while continuing to perform at a high level.

Dr. Vang provides telehealth therapy and is authorized to practice across multiple states through the PSYPACT. Her practice is private pay only, which many professionals prefer because it allows for greater privacy, flexibility, and control over their care without diagnostic reporting to insurance companies.

Her practice offers a thoughtful and confidential space for leaders seeking greater clarity, balance, and sustainability in both their work and personal lives.

Message to clients

Starting therapy can be a meaningful step, especially for people who are used to being the one others rely on. Many of the individuals I work with are deeply capable, thoughtful leaders who spend much of their lives caring for others, managing complex responsibilities, and operating in environments that demand constant performance. Many are also navigating full lives outside of work—relationships, family responsibilities, and the ongoing challenge of sustaining a meaningful personal life alongside a demanding career. My hope is that our work together provides a space where you can step out of those roles for a moment and speak openly about what you are carrying—without needing to have everything figured out.

I strive to create a safe and confidential space where you can explore the thoughts and concerns that may feel difficult to say out loud elsewhere. This may include insecurities, moments where your values feel misaligned with your environment, or areas where you feel your skills are still developing but showing vulnerability feels risky. Therapy can also be a place to talk honestly about ambition, competitiveness, and perfectionism without shame. Many high-performing individuals have been rewarded for these traits throughout their lives, yet they can also come with real psychological costs.

In our work together, we will approach these experiences with curiosity, respect, and practical insight. My goal is to help you strengthen emotional resilience, reconnect with your values, and develop sustainable ways to move through your work and life with greater clarity, balance, and self-trust.

Therapist's note

Dr. Vang’s practice is private pay, meaning she does not bill insurance. Many clients prefer this model because it offers greater privacy and discretion. Insurance companies typically require a mental health diagnosis and access to aspects of treatment records in order to authorize coverage. By working outside of insurance, clients’ care remains confidential between therapist and client without the need to submit personal health information to third parties.

Private pay also allows greater flexibility in how therapy is structured. Treatment is not limited by insurance requirements, session caps, or diagnostic constraints, allowing the work to focus fully on each client’s goals, pace, and the areas of life they want to address.
