Tanya Fridland works with adults navigating ADHD, depression, anxiety, life transitions, new parenthood, and professional challenges. She takes a strengths-based, individualized approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s needs, preferences, and goals. Her work integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and executive functioning coaching to support both emotional insight and practical change.
Before becoming a therapist, Tanya practiced as an attorney in New York City. Her own experiences with ADHD, burnout, and the transition to motherhood deepened her understanding of how internal and external pressures can impact well-being, and ultimately led her to pursue a more holistic, person-centered career. She brings a thoughtful, structured, and collaborative approach to her clinical work.
Tanya is attentive to the ways identity and lived experience shape each client’s perspective. She identifies as a white, cisgender, heterosexual woman of Jewish ancestry and is also an immigrant. These experiences inform her commitment to cultural humility and to creating a space where clients feel seen, respected, and understood.
Her therapeutic style emphasizes self-understanding, skill-building, and meaningful, sustainable change. She works collaboratively with clients to explore whether a diagnosis is helpful, ensuring that it serves as a tool for insight rather than a limitation.
Tanya’s goal is to help clients feel more grounded, capable, and aligned with the lives they want to lead.
