Professional statement

Teri Langer is a Los Angeles–based therapist who works with teens and adults navigating identity shifts, burnout, relational trauma, and neurodivergence. Many of her clients are thoughtful, perceptive individuals who have learned to adapt to environments that did not reflect their natural rhythm. They may live with ADHD, autism, complex trauma, or chronic overstimulation, and are seeking therapy that honors both their intelligence and sensitivity.

Teri’s approach is integrative, relational, and grounded in somatic and trauma-informed care. She focuses on restoring coherence between mind, body, and nervous system as a foundation for sustainable change. Drawing from attachment-based therapy, Brainspotting, and nervous system regulation practices, she works beneath analysis alone — helping clients shift patterns that insight has not fully resolved.

Prior to becoming a therapist, Teri spent over 20 years working with neurodivergent individuals and their families. She also brings lived experience with ADHD, complex trauma, and queer identity, offering a grounded understanding of diverse developmental and relational experiences.

Teri provides online therapy for adults throughout California and in-person therapy in Los Angeles. She is supervised by Christy Merriner, LCSW.

Message to clients

Many of the people I work with feel like they’ve spent years holding themselves together. You might be navigating burnout, sensory overload, relationship patterns that repeat, or a quiet sense that your internal world feels louder than everyone else’s.

You don’t need to prepare anything before we begin. We start with what’s happening now.

In our work together, we pay attention to how your nervous system responds — not to fix you, but to understand you. Sometimes that means slowing down. Sometimes it means noticing patterns that have felt automatic for years. Over time, therapy becomes a place to experiment with new ways of relating to yourself and others — without pressure to perform or “get it right.”

By the end of our work, you’ll have more choice in how you respond, how you connect, and how you move through your life.
