Professional statement

Dr. Yuliya Bulba is a New Jersey–based licensed clinical psychologist who works with teens and adults navigating anxiety, stress, and major life changes. Many of her clients come in feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or disconnected—especially when the strategies they’ve relied on in the past just aren’t working anymore. Together, you’ll make sense of what’s going on and develop new ways of thinking, coping, and relating that actually fit your life now.

Her approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but she also draws from mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all here. Dr. Bulba tailors the work to you—your goals, your personality, and what genuinely feels helpful. Sessions are active and collaborative, and she’ll often encourage you to experiment with new perspectives and skills between meetings in ways that feel realistic and manageable.

Clients often describe her style as warm, down-to-earth, and interactive—with a sense of humor when it helps. You won’t just sit and talk; you’ll leave sessions with practical tools and a clearer sense of direction for the week ahead.

Dr. Bulba currently works with clients remotely through a secure telehealth platform, making it easier to fit therapy into your schedule while still feeling supported and connected. Her goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being honest, exploring what’s going on, and making meaningful changes.

Message to clients

Finding a therapist can feel intimidating, stressful, or even a little overwhelming at first. But it can also be the start of something really meaningful. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up as you are—and where real, lasting change can happen.

There’s something powerful about having a dedicated time each week that’s just for you—a chance to pause, reflect, and focus on your own needs without the pressure of everything else going on in your life. It’s easy to feel like you don’t have the time or energy for therapy, especially when things already feel overwhelming. But making that space for yourself can be one of the most important investments you make.

If you’re ready to start, I’d love to work together to help you move toward the changes you want to see in your life.
