From Outer Chaos to Inner Calm

Description

A live, virtual healing series for women who are tired of surviving and ready to feel like themselves again. In a world that constantly demands more (more doing, more giving, more holding it all together), it’s easy to lose touch with your own needs, your body’s wisdom, and your sense of self. This series is a gentle invitation to pause, exhale, and come back home to you.

Each week, we’ll gather in sacred community to explore accessible, trauma-informed practices designed to support your nervous system, soften internal pressure, and reconnect you with your innate clarity, calm, and resilience. Through a powerful combination of therapeutic yoga, mindfulness, guided self-reflection, and nervous system education, you’ll begin to shift from a state of chronic stress and over-functioning into one of steadiness, presence, and inner trust.

This is not about “fixing” yourself; it’s about releasing what no longer serves you, honoring your lived experience, and remembering who you are beneath the noise of chaos and conditioning.

You’ll leave each session with simple, repeatable tools and embodied practices to ground and nourish you throughout your week, and you’ll be held in a safe, supportive container that honors your pace and your wholeness.

Dates: 6 weekly sessions, live on Zoom

Format: 75-minute experiential sessions with time for integration

Who it’s for: Women of all identities seeking healing, reconnection, and emotional steadiness

Led by: Joanna Barrett, LMHC, LPC, NCC, E-RYT

Group Therapist

Joanna Barrett works with adults who are thoughtful, caring, and deeply committed to showing up for others. Many of her clients are helpers by nature, including therapists, caregivers, and service-oriented professionals, who feel anxious, burned out, or disconnected despite appearing capable on the outside. They often come to therapy during periods of transition, loss, or emotional overload, seeking steadiness, clarity, and a more sustainable way of living.

Her therapeutic approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and highly personalized. Joanna blends evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and depth-oriented work to help clients understand patterns, regulate emotions, and reconnect with their inner resources. When aligned with a client’s goals, she also incorporates mindfulness, meditation, and somatic practices to support nervous system regulation and embodied healing.

Joanna brings over a decade of experience in mental health and holds licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia and Pennsylvania. She is also an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with advanced training in trauma-informed yoga and the intersection of mental health and the body. In addition to individual therapy, Joanna facilitates virtual workshops and wellness offerings focused on resilience, emotional balance, and self-trust. Her style is collaborative, grounded, and insight-oriented, with an emphasis on helping clients move beyond survival toward meaningful, lasting change.

Joanna offers remote therapy, allowing clients to engage in therapy from the comfort of their own space. She currently has limited availability for new clients. Joanna also offers Emotional Wellness Yoga and virtual programs to clients worldwide. Her practice is fully virtual, and she values working with individuals who are ready to engage thoughtfully in the therapeutic process and build a supportive, long-term relationship.
