Description
Parenting an autistic/possibly autistic child can feel joyful, overwhelming, and at times, deeply isolating. You may be doing everything you can and still feel like it's not enough or worry that you're not doing it "right."
Holding it All offers a supportive space to step out of survival mode and feel less alone. Led by a psychologist with 10 years of diverse experience supporting autistic individuals and their families, you'll have space to process your parenting experience nonjudgmentally, make meaning of what you're going through, and reconnect with yourself.
Through a combination of gentle tips and tricks to reconnect with yourself and thoughtful group conversation, we'll explore stress, burnout, grief, shame, attachment, sensory overwhelm, and nervous system regulation. This is not a parenting skills group - it's a space that centers YOU: your emotions, your body, and your wellbeing.
Open to any parent/caregiver of an autistic/possibly autistic child, at any stage of the journey. No formal diagnosis is required. Come as you are.

Group Therapist
Dr. Miriam Khiari is a bilingual clinical psychologist in Providence, Rhode Island. She is fluent in English and Spanish, and provides individual and couples therapy for adults, both in-person and virtually.
Dr. Khiari finds deep meaning in supporting adults as they explore life transitions, navigate attachment and relationships, process relationship break-ups and grief, and make sense of family and cultural dynamics. She helps people better understand their emotions, build resilience, be kinder to themselves, and feel more confident.
She is also passionate about helping parents of autistic children navigate the uncertainty of a new diagnosis, including making sense of the evaluation experience, processing emotions, and better understanding Autism and Neurodivergence. Dr. Khiari aims to help parents make sense of evaluation recommendations, prioritize next steps, and translate them into realistic plans for their child and family. She aims to promote greater family understanding and connection.
Grounded in an attachment- and emotionally focused framework, Dr. Khiari believes that emotional safety, trust, and attunement form the foundation for healing and deeper connection, both within and beyond therapy.
