A Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor located in Alexandria, VA. She is the founder of Brightness in the Rain Counseling Services. Venise specializes in helping those who suffer from eating disorders. Many of her clients are children, teenagers, or young people as well as their parents and families. She also draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), teaching clients how to regulate their emotions and how to avoid negative self-talk. She offers faith-based counseling for those who seek to have a faith perspective on their mental health.
Venise earned a Master’s degree in Pastoral Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University, and has a Post-Master's Certificate in Health Psychology. She is certified as an Eating Disorder Treatment Clinician and as a Trauma Professional.
