Practice Information

Most people don’t start therapy because they’re curious. They start because something isn’t working anymore. Stress has piled up. Anxiety feels louder than it used to. A loss, transition, health issue, or relationship strain has knocked things off balance. Whatever once helped you cope may no longer be enough.

Our practice exists to meet people in those moments.

We offer mental health care that is responsive, grounded, and focused on helping you regain your footing. This is a place to slow things down, make sense of what’s happening in your life, and begin responding in ways that feel more supportive and workable. There’s no expectation that you arrive with the “right” words, a clear diagnosis, or a long-term plan. We start with what’s showing up now.

Rather than rushing toward fixes, we pay attention to patterns—how distress shows up, what tends to trigger it, and how your current responses may be helping or making things harder. From there, we work together to create space, flexibility, and forward movement, even when things feel uncomfortable.

We offer in-person therapy in Cranston and Wakefield, Rhode Island, as well as online sessions across the state. Our care is designed to be accessible, focused, and deeply human. No pressure. No promises. Just a steady place to begin moving again.

FAQS

What are your practice's specialties?

We specialize in working with people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or worn down by ongoing stress or emotional pressure. This includes anxiety, burnout, grief, relationship strain, health-related stress, and major life transitions.

Our focus is not on labels, but on understanding patterns, what’s happening in your life, how distress shows up, and what tends to keep it going. We help clients reduce unworkable struggles with thoughts and emotions, build greater flexibility, and reconnect with what matters to them.

This work is especially helpful for people who feel like they’ve tried to “think their way out” of distress and are looking for a different, more grounded way forward.

What services does your practice offer?

We offer individual therapy for adults, both in person and online. Sessions are structured, focused, and responsive to what you’re dealing with right now.

Many clients come to us during periods of heightened stress or disruption and appreciate that care here does not require a long-term commitment just to get started. While therapy can be ongoing if helpful, our work often emphasizes practical progress, clarity, and momentum.

We also offer a Flexible Access pathway designed to help people begin therapy more quickly, often within days rather than weeks. This option is especially useful if you’re navigating a difficult moment, feeling emotionally overloaded, or unsure where to begin.

Sessions are designed to fit into real lives, not add more strain.

Why should I choose your practice?

You might choose AQAL Therapies if you’re tired of waiting weeks or months for an appointment, only to leave sessions feeling like you talked a lot but didn’t get anywhere. Many people come to us frustrated by long waitlists, unclear goals, or therapy that feels open-ended without a sense of direction.

Our work is designed to be timely, focused, and purposeful. From the start, we pay attention to what’s happening in your life, what patterns may be keeping you stuck, and what would actually make things more workable. Sessions are active and grounded, with an emphasis on helping you leave with greater clarity and a sense of forward movement.

If you’re looking for therapy that respects your time, meets you where you are, and helps you feel less alone and more capable of moving through what’s hard, this may be the right place to begin.

How does payment work at your practice?

We accept a wide range of insurance plans. In addition, our Flexible Access pathway was designed to ensure that people without insurance, or those facing financial barriers, can still access care.

Session fees typically range from $35–$60, with some lower-cost options available based on availability and need. Our goal is to offer timely, affordable access to therapy, often at a cost similar to a copay—while maintaining a high standard of care.

We’re happy to help you understand your options and find an approach that feels manageable.
