Welcome to Sentient Psychotherapy
We’re so glad you’ve found us. Sentient is a boutique, brick-and-mortar private practice based in Lower Manhattan, offering in-person and virtual therapy to individuals and couples across New York State.
Therapy at Sentient is different. Our clients often say, “I feel like a totally new person!” or “This is the first time I’ve felt truly seen.” That’s because we focus on compassionate, in-person care with a diverse team of multiculturally-informed therapists. We’re here to make excellent mental health care more accessible—especially for those who may not have always felt represented or understood in traditional therapy spaces.
Speaking face-to-face with a real person—someone who can truly relate to your lived experience—can bring a level of healing that just isn’t possible through AI, social media, or even virtual therapy alone. At Sentient, we believe that showing up in the room together is part of the transformation.
That said, if you’re located anywhere in New York State and can’t come into the city, we offer virtual therapy with the same high standard of care. You shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality just because you’re outside of Manhattan. If you’ve been struggling to find a BIPOC or LGBTQ+ therapist you can truly connect with, we’re here.
Whether you're coping with anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, grief, or navigating relationship or career challenges—our therapists are ready to support you. Couples who work with us often experience more clarity, connection, and communication, even when facing complex issues like infidelity, life transitions, or parenting stress.
We’re confident that through our work together, you’ll create greater purpose in your outer life, while learning to enrich your inner life along the way.
You’ve worked hard to build this life. Isn’t it time you get to enjoy it?
Call or email us today to get started. We can’t wait to meet you.
