Professional statement

Dr. Jacobson is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience helping adults, couples, and families move beyond the patterns that keep them feeling stuck—whether that means anxiety, depression, relationship strain, burnout, or simply a sense that life could feel more meaningful and fulfilling than it does right now. His approach is integrative and highly individualized, blending evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, and Solution-Focused Therapy within a supportive, strengths-focused framework that emphasizes growth—not pathology.

Together, your work will focus on identifying what’s getting in the way of how you want to feel, function, and live—and developing practical, sustainable strategies to create real change. Many clients come seeking relief from distressing symptoms; others are looking to enhance performance at work, strengthen relationships, or reconnect with a stronger sense of purpose. In all cases, the goal is the same: meaningful, measurable progress that translates into daily life.

All services are provided virtually, offering flexibility in scheduling and enabling access to care regardless of location. Dr. Jacobson offers a brief consultation to ensure a strong fit and to help you understand what the therapy process—and your results—are likely to look like. He also provides comprehensive psychological testing for individuals seeking deeper insight into their strengths, challenges, and next steps for personal or professional growth.

Message to clients

Welcome—I look forward to learning more about what’s bringing you in and how I can help. When we begin working together, we’ll identify clear, meaningful goals and track progress in ways that matter to you in everyday life. Therapy should lead to real, noticeable change—deeper insight and improvements in how you feel, function, and relate to others. In many cases, the positive shifts become evident not only to you but also to the people around you.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families navigating a wide range of challenges—from anxiety and low mood to relationship concerns, life transitions, and performance goals. No two people are the same, and every treatment plan is carefully tailored to reflect your specific needs, values, and hopes for the future. I take the trust you place in this process seriously and strive to combine well-established, evidence-based methods with ongoing training in emerging, science-informed approaches.

If you’re considering getting started, I invite you to reach out for a brief, complimentary consultation. Finding the right therapeutic fit is essential, and I encourage you to ask questions so you can feel confident in what our work together will involve—and what it can help you achieve.

I look forward to connecting with you.
