Professional statement

Dr. Jacobson is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with more than 20 years of experience helping adults, couples, and families overcome the patterns that leave them feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unfulfilled. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, burnout, stress, or a growing sense that life could feel more meaningful than it does right now, therapy is designed to help you create real and lasting change.

His approach is integrative, practical, and highly individualized — blending evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, and Solution-Focused Therapy within a supportive, strengths-focused framework. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or diagnoses, treatment centers on understanding what is keeping you from feeling, functioning, and living at your best — and developing clear, sustainable strategies to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and fulfillment.

Clients often appreciate that therapy is both insightful and action-oriented. Some seek relief from emotional distress, while others want to strengthen relationships, improve performance at work or school, navigate life transitions, or reconnect with a stronger sense of purpose and direction. In all cases, the goal is meaningful progress that translates into everyday life — not just insight during sessions.

All services are provided virtually, making therapy flexible, convenient, and accessible regardless of location. Dr. Jacobson offers a brief consultation to help determine whether the fit feels right and to provide a clearer sense of what the therapy process — and potential outcomes — may look like for your specific situation.

In addition to therapy services, Dr. Jacobson provides comprehensive psychological evaluations and testing for individuals seeking deeper insight into their strengths and challenges, diagnostic questions, or personal and professional growth.

Message to clients

Welcome — I look forward to learning more about what’s bringing you in and how I can help. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative process in which we identify clear, meaningful goals and work toward real, noticeable progress in your daily life. Therapy should lead not only to deeper insight, but also to meaningful improvements in how you feel, function, communicate, and relate to others. In many cases, the positive changes become evident not only to clients themselves, but also to the people closest to them.

Over the past 20+ years, I’ve had the privilege of working with adults, couples, and families navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, burnout, life transitions, and personal or professional growth goals. Because no two people are alike, I take an individualized approach to treatment — tailoring therapy to your specific needs, strengths, values, and future goals.

My work integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, and Solution-Focused Therapy within a practical, strengths-focused framework designed to support lasting change. I take the trust clients place in this process seriously and remain committed to ongoing training in both well-established and emerging science-informed approaches to care.

If you’re considering getting started, I invite you to reach out for a brief complimentary consultation. Finding the right therapeutic fit is important, and I encourage you to ask questions so you can feel confident about what our work together may involve and what it may help you achieve.
