Professional statement

With over 25 years of experience as a neonatal nurse practitioner, Ally Kayton has walked alongside countless individuals and families during some of the most tender and challenging moments of their lives.

Her passion for this work comes from witnessing the profound emotional impact that can follow unexpected pregnancy outcomes, NICU stays, postpartum depression, the loss of a child, and the often unseen toll these events take not only on families but also on the clinicians and first responders who care for them. These experiences can bring trauma, grief, burnout, and an overwhelming sense of isolation, making it all the more important to receive care that is not only clinically informed but also compassionate and attuned to the whole person.

At Sage & Stone Holistic Counseling, Ally offers a warm, inclusive space where all individuals—birthing parents, partners, families, first responders, and healthcare professionals—are welcomed and supported. The practice is rooted in a trauma-informed, holistic approach, offering guidance through the complex journeys of infertility, birth trauma, NICU experiences, postpartum transitions, grief, and caregiver burnout.

Message to clients

I understand that this path—whether it involves healing from birth trauma, navigating postpartum changes, coping with loss, or redefining your wellness—can be filled with complex emotions and unexpected turns. My goal is to create a warm, compassionate space where you feel seen, heard, and truly supported. Together, we’ll honor your lived experiences, work through the pain, and gently lean into moments of hope, strength, and resilience. You don’t have to walk this journey alone—I'm here with you every step of the way.

Through my integrative wellness coaching, I support individuals of all identities and backgrounds in reconnecting with their health through nutrition, self-care, mindful eating, and emotional well-being. My approach is educational and holistic—we focus on releasing the pressure of rigid diet culture and instead empower you to nurture your body in a way that feels sustainable and aligned with your life.

I believe that health is deeply personal and never one-size-fits-all. In our work together, we’ll explore what wellness truly means for you—whether that includes nourishing food, meaningful relationships, joyful movement, career satisfaction, or inner peace. Coaching sessions are designed to help you set realistic, heart-led goals and celebrate progress, rather than perfection.

As I continue to work full-time in the NICU, my schedule varies from week to week. Although my calendar may not always be visible online, please don’t hesitate to email me or send a text directly—I’d be happy to connect and support you when the time is right.
