Originally from the Lowcountry of South Carolina, and still at heart, Andréa and her family returned to Northeast Florida after their separation from active duty in 2015. Andréa Green-Soto holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of South Carolina, and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy from Capella University. Andréa has been an active member in her local and state mental and behavioral health community ever since with an emphasis on working with the couples, young adults, and military service members/first responders and their families.
Andréa's method of therapy is primarily holistic and integrative as she sees the individual AND the sum of their parts. Andréa also has 10+ years of experience working with children and young adults as they enter different phases of their lives. However, her passion is helping couples and families to reconnect and strengthen their bonds through life's difficult transitions.
Andréa's specialties include using evidence-based therapeutic practices such as, but not limited to CBT, DBT, Structural Family Therapy, Gottman Method, solution focused brief therapy, and mindfulness techniques to process mental and emotional health disorders (i.e., Depression and anxiety), stress management, blended family issues, couples/marital issues, career/employment stress, adolescent/young adult concerns, trauma, and the experiences related to life transitions.
Andréa uses her knowledge and proficiency as a military spouse, now a mother of three, a co-parent in a blended family, and a juggler of other hats/roles to engage with her clients in an understanding and empathetic manner to create achievable goals, repair bonds, and become the best version of themselves.
Andréa lives in the Northeast region of Florida, and is currently accepting new clients virtually (telehealth) throughout the state of Florida. (Available to clients in South Carolina via Telehealth).
