Ms. Avdiu obtained a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the City University of New York and holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She has extensive experience in both behavioral health and addiction treatment, and has completed specialized training in suicide prevention within the context of substance use disorders.
Ms. Avdiu sees individuals ages 18 and older with a range of mental health needs, focusing on anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self harm, bipolar disorder, and trauma. She sees new patients in our crisis program and helps run our virtual IOP program. At Willow Health, she offers virtual only services for individuals who are located in the state of NY. Office hours are 11a ET – 7p ET Monday through Friday with after hours nursing call access.
Ms. Avdiu's therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices. She draws from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques to help clients build insight, emotional regulation, and lasting change. She prioritizes creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and empowered.
