Ms. Chapman brings immense expertise and empathy to her practice at Willow Behavioral Health as a mental health counselor, where she offers virtual psychotherapy services. She treats various mental health conditions with a special focus on anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and suicidal thoughts. Ms. Chapman sees individuals ages 18 and older with a range of mental health needs, focusing on anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self harm, bipolar disorder, and trauma. She sees new patients in our crisis program. Willow offers virtual only services for individuals who are located in the state of NY. Office hours are 11a ET – 7p ET Monday through Friday with after hours nursing call access.
Ms.Chapman earned her Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and her Doctoral Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University, graduating with honors. She holds several publications and completed her dissertation on The Black Community’s Appraisal of Collective Trauma Events: Impact on Help-Seeking Behavior Intention. She remains committed to helping her patients enjoy a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle.
Ms. Chapman’s approach is collaborative, person-centered and culturally sensitive with a focus on helping each individual feel seen and empowered. She is skilled in utilizing evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness and trauma-informed approaches to help clients manage challenges and move toward greater clarity, emotional balance and a life aligned with their values.
