Professional statement

Cierra Burnes is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and Certified Life Coach who works with individuals, couples, and families seeking emotional clarity, stronger relationships, and meaningful personal growth. She supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, and patterns that no longer serve them. Many of Cierra’s clients are young adults discovering identity and purpose, couples strengthening connection and communication, or individuals healing from past experiences to create new pathways forward.

Cierra’s therapy style is warm, collaborative, and empowering. She believes that healing happens through both insight and action, and that the therapeutic relationship is a key part of that process. Her approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed practices, helping clients make sense of their emotional experiences while developing practical tools for daily life. Clients working with Cierra can expect space for reflection, compassionate honesty, and supportive guidance that encourages gradual, sustainable transformation.

Cierra holds a master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Counseling with a specialization in Marital, Couple, and Family Counseling/Therapy. Her professional background includes private practice, community-based work, youth development, and organizational wellness programming. She also facilitates workshops focused on emotional intelligence, relationship skills, conflict resolution, and performance mindset.

Cierra offers virtual therapy throughout the state of Florida. Her practice, SoulVersation, is designed to be a reflective and nurturing environment where clients are supported as they move from challenge to clarity and from clarity to empowered action.

Message to clients

When we begin working together, my priority is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and not judged for your experiences. I believe therapy is a collaborative process; you don’t have to have the “right words” or know exactly where to start. Together, we will explore what you’re navigating, whether that’s anxiety, relationship challenges, identity questions, trauma, or learning how to communicate your needs, and identify what healing and growth can look like for you. I will offer you both reflection and practical tools, so you feel empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.

I hope that you leave our sessions with greater clarity, self-compassion, and a sense of possibility. Growth doesn’t happen overnight, but with consistency, honesty, and support, transformation is real and achievable. I will walk alongside you, gently challenge patterns that are no longer serving you, and celebrate your progress along the way. If you’re ready to begin, you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here.
