Professional statement

I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist working with adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, relationship strain, life transitions, and emotionally charged family dynamics. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in patterns of avoidance, emotional shutdown, or recurring conflict that haven’t shifted despite insight, effort, or previous attempts at change.

My approach is structured, relational, and collaborative. I focus on helping clients slow things down, understand the patterns shaping their experiences, and build the capacity to stay engaged when emotions intensify. Rather than pushing for quick fixes, I emphasize consistency, emotional safety, and practical change that can be sustained over time.

I have particular experience working with anxiety, depression, couples experiencing disconnection or high conflict, adolescents and families, and individuals navigating stress related to responsibility, performance, or major transitions. I aim to create a therapeutic space that is thoughtful, grounded, and steady, where clients feel supported while also gently challenged to move beyond patterns that no longer serve them.

I offer both in-person and virtual sessions, depending on client preference and availability.

Message to clients

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re not fully sure what you need or how to put it into words. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. Part of the work we do together is slowing things down and making sense of what’s been happening in a way that feels manageable and grounded.

I approach therapy as a collaborative process. My goal is to help you understand the patterns you’re caught in and build the ability to stay engaged, even when emotions feel intense or uncomfortable. I focus on creating a steady, thoughtful space where real change can develop over time, rather than pushing quick solutions.

If you’re considering therapy and wondering whether it’s a good fit, an initial consultation can be a helpful place to start. I’m happy to answer questions and talk through what working together might look like.

Specialties

Addiction - Supporting individuals who feel stuck in cycles of unwanted or compulsive behaviors. I work with clients to understand the emotional and relational function of these behaviors, reduce reliance on them, and build more sustainable ways of coping with distress, stress, and avoidance.

Adolescent mental health - Working with adolescents and parents around anxiety, emotional shutdown, school stress, family conflict, peer relationships, and major developmental transitions. Therapy focuses on helping teens build emotional awareness, regulation, and communication skills while supporting parents in responding in ways that reduce escalation and withdrawal.

Anxiety - Helping individuals understand and work through chronic worry, stress, panic, and avoidance. Treatment focuses on identifying anxiety-driven patterns, increasing tolerance for discomfort, and building the capacity to stay engaged rather than shutting down or overcontrolling situations.

Couples counseling - Working with couples who feel stuck in repetitive cycles of conflict, distance, or emotional disconnection. Sessions focus on slowing interactions down, identifying patterns that keep couples stuck, and helping partners communicate more clearly, stay emotionally present, and rebuild trust and connection.

Depression - Supporting individuals experiencing low mood, emotional numbness, fatigue, irritability, or loss of motivation. Therapy focuses on understanding how depression shows up in daily life and relationships, increasing engagement, and rebuilding a sense of momentum and meaning over time.

Entrepreneur mental health - Working with entrepreneurs and high-responsibility professionals navigating stress, burnout, anxiety, and relationship strain. Therapy focuses on boundaries, emotional regulation, and balancing performance demands with personal well-being and connection outside of work.
