Dr. Joe Rosansky provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy for adults and couples feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from what truly matters. He specializes in working with individuals who are grappling with difficult life transitions, trauma, addictive or otherwise challenging behaviors, relationship issues, and questions of identity and purpose. Dr. Rosansky partners with clients to move beyond temporary fixes, helping them transform their perspectives and experiences and to build a rich, meaningful life aligned with their personal values.
Dr. Rosansky’s therapeutic approach is collaborative and individually tailored. His method is primarily rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a powerful mindfulness-based framework that helps clients develop psychological flexibility. Through this lens, he guides individuals in learning how to unhook from difficult thoughts and feelings, connect with the present moment, and take committed action toward what they care about most. He also has a strong background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an approach he uses to help clients who are not interested in or do not respond well to mindfulness training to change challenging thought patterns.
With a deep commitment to integrating clinical practice with academic science, Dr. Rosansky has completed advanced clinical and research fellowships at Harvard Medical School, in which he studied and practiced the science of behavior change. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Rosansky is a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and the Associate Director of Psychology Training for the Center for Mindfulness and Compassion. This background allows him to bring a wealth of knowledge and the latest evidence-based practices to his clients, ensuring the highest standard of care.
Dr. Rosansky currently sees clients in-person at his private practice in North Cambridge (Fresh Pond) located a short walk from the Alewife T station.
