Karen Jasso, MSCP, AMFT, is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who brings warmth, authenticity, and over five years of experience to her work with individuals navigating life’s challenges. She works with adolescents, adults, and families facing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, and low self-esteem. Karen has a special passion for supporting clients through neurodivergent experiences, cultural identity challenges, and major life transitions, always aiming to help them reconnect with their strengths and sense of self.
Karen’s approach to therapy is what she affectionately calls her “Rainbows and Glitter” method—blending genuine compassion with a client-centered, integrative approach. She draws from evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic techniques, and Solution-Focused therapy. Her sessions are collaborative, rooted in empathy and curiosity, and tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. Whether someone is working through a specific issue or simply seeking personal growth, Karen offers a grounded and uplifting presence.
Karen earned her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Bakersfield, where she also contributed to research and deepened her clinical training. Her path to becoming a therapist was inspired by her own early understanding of the importance of mental health and a strong desire to help others experience lasting change. Through supervised practice and meaningful client work, she developed a deep appreciation for the healing power of therapy.
Karen is bilingual and offers sessions in both English and Spanish. She currently provides remote therapy through Core Therapy, a fully virtual practice serving clients across California. She is available for weekday appointments and is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and judgment-free space where clients can feel seen, supported, and empowered to live with intention and joy.
