Professional statement

Kenneth Lyman is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who helps couples and individuals rediscover connection, understanding, and emotional safety. Many of the people Kenneth works with feel stuck in painful cycles—longing for closeness but finding themselves caught in patterns of disconnection, silence, or conflict. Whether you’re struggling to communicate with your partner, heal from emotional wounds, or make sense of your own reactions, Kenneth offers a calm, supportive space to begin creating meaningful and lasting change.

Grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Kenneth’s approach focuses on the deep emotions and attachment needs that shape how we show up in relationships. EFT helps clients move beyond the protective walls that keep them apart and begin to share what they truly need—often for the first time. Through this process, couples rebuild trust and closeness, while individuals find clarity, healing, and strength within themselves.

Kenneth’s clients describe him as warm, steady, and deeply present. He brings genuine care and a calming presence into his sessions, creating an environment where people feel safe enough to open up and explore what’s underneath the surface. With compassion and curiosity, he helps clients untangle painful emotions, make sense of their experiences, and discover new ways of reaching for one another. His goal is to help each person find hope, healing, and a renewed sense of connection—with themselves and with those they love.

A Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist with the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT), Kenneth is dedicated to helping each client and couple achieve the best possible outcome—one that honors their hopes for lasting change and emotional well-being. He offers in-person sessions in Temecula and Riverside, California, as well as telehealth sessions throughout the state.

Message to clients

Before we begin, I want you to know that this is a space where you don’t have to hold it all together. You can come exactly as you are—confused, hurt, guarded, or unsure where to start. So many of the people I meet long for closeness but find themselves stuck in patterns of distance or disconnection. My hope is to help you make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, so you can begin to feel safer, more understood, and more connected again.

I’m deeply dedicated to helping both couples and individuals heal and strengthen their emotional bonds. For couples, this often means finding your way back to one another—to a place where you can reach for your partner and feel them reach back. For individuals, it’s about understanding your own emotions and needs in a way that brings clarity, confidence, and peace. Together, we’ll slow down, uncover what’s really driving the pain, and begin creating new patterns of connection and care.

My wish is that our time together feels like a safe landing place—a space where you can breathe, feel, and begin to rebuild hope. Healing doesn’t mean doing it perfectly; it means knowing you don’t have to do it alone.
