Lindsey Dasher is a licensed associate professional counselor based in Cumming, GA. She works with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, life change, couples issues, and pregnancy and postpartum struggles. Many of her clients have built successful lives but have struggled with major changes and challenges they face. Specifically she sees women struggling with the transition into motherhood and experiencing postpartum struggles.
Lindsey approaches counseling from a holistic perspective taking into account all aspects of life that are impacting her clients. She uses techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindful self-compassion (one of her favorites!), and couples counseling theories. She works to create a comfortable and open environment where her clients have the freedom to share the good, bad, ugly, and beautiful in life. She believes that her clients are capable of moving towards a healthier life and she journeys along with them giving insight, feedback, and useful tools. She believes that therapy is not meant to last forever and wants to help her clients find solutions and peace in life.
Lindsey has training in Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Perinatal Mental Health Counseling. She focuses her continuing education of pregnancy and postpartum care along with couples counseling. She has been married to her highschool sweetheart for over 15 years and they have 3 children together. She has a deep desire to help women through the postpartum period come out on the other side thriving.
