Professional statement

At Healing & Learning Counseling, I specialize in helping individuals, couples, and families create meaningful, lasting change. As a couples therapist trained in the Gottman Method, I work with partners who feel stuck in patterns of conflict, disconnection, or betrayal. I help couples rebuild trust, improve communication, and develop a deeper understanding of one another so they can move forward together with clarity and confidence.

In my individual therapy work, I support adults navigating anxiety, stress, and relationship challenges. Together, we identify patterns that may be holding you back and build practical, evidence-based strategies to improve emotional well-being and daily functioning.

I also work closely with children and adolescents, focusing on emotional regulation, coping skills, and behavior support. Using developmentally appropriate, structured approaches, I help young clients better understand their emotions, manage frustration, and build the skills they need to succeed at home, in school, and in relationships.

My approach is direct, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based practices, with the goal of helping every client feel understood, empowered, and capable of meaningful growth.

Message to clients

At Healing & Learning Counseling, my goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and capable of real change. Whether you’re coming in as an individual, a couple, or a parent seeking support for your child, I want you to know that you don’t have to have everything figured out before we begin. Many of the people I work with feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected—and that’s exactly where we start. Together, we’ll make sense of what’s happening and begin building a clear path forward.

In my work with couples, I use the Gottman Method to help you rebuild trust, improve communication, and better understand each other’s needs—especially if you’re navigating conflict or recovering from a rupture like infidelity. In individual therapy, I support adults in managing anxiety, stress, and relationship challenges by identifying patterns and developing practical strategies that create lasting change. I also work with children and adolescents to strengthen emotional regulation, helping them better understand their feelings, manage frustration, and build confidence across settings.

My approach is direct, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based practices. My hope is that you leave each session not only feeling heard, but also with tools you can actually use—so that over time, you begin to feel more confident, more connected, and more in control of your life and relationships.
