Patti is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado who works with clients across the lifespan as individuals, couples or families. Many of her clients seek therapy for challenges regarding their relationships, divorce or blending families, or struggles in finding happiness due to many reasons, including depression and anxiety.
Patti utilizes multiple therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Emotions Focused Therapy. Her approach is client-centered, creating a supportive and accepting environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, ultimately leading to self-understanding and personal growth. In session, Patti focuses on discovering what is prohibiting clients from realizing their happiness, including community, societal expectations, upbringing, and previous experiences. This approach supports clients in realizing their authentic selves and desires.
Patti’s style is inclusive and accepting and prioritizes the client’s comfort and safety in the therapeutic environment. Clients can expect to talk openly about what has brought them to therapy and what they hope to achieve. Patti will work with each client to address their specific concerns and develop a plan to achieve their goals and is dedicated to creating a relationship with clients that is based in respect, honesty and equality.
Patti received her Master’s degree in Counseling from Adams State University. She has experience supporting clients in various mental health settings including elementary school, a virtual intensive outpatient program, and in community mental health helping clients transition between different levels of care. This experience enables her to consider clients’ experiences from multiple perspectives. As an experienced telehealth therapist, Patti offers remote sessions to make therapy more convenient, accessible and easier to include in your schedule.
