Professional statement

Peter Century is a Licensed Social Worker with a private practice in Cleveland's Murray Hill neighborhood. He works with adults and teens 16 and older dealing with relationship conflict, high-functioning anxiety, and ADHD. Many of Peter's clients are capable, self-aware people who have been carrying the same weight for years — and are finally ready to put it down. They don't want to be in therapy forever. They want to understand what's been holding them back, do the work, and move forward.

That's exactly how Peter works. The goal of therapy isn't permanent attendance — it's real, lasting change. Peter helps clients move from "why is this happening to me" to "what am I going to do about it." Sessions are direct and purposeful, built around understanding the pattern, interrupting it, and building something different in its place.

Peter integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), couples-focused modalities, and executive function strategies — tailored to what each client actually needs. For couples, that means getting underneath the recurring argument. For anxiety, building regulation that holds. For ADHD, creating structure that works with the brain, not against it.

Peter holds an MSW from Walden University and a BA from Yeshiva University, and practices under clinical supervision. He sees clients in-person in Murray Hill and virtually throughout Ohio. He is currently welcoming new clients who are ready to do something different.

Message to clients

If you're here, something isn't working — and part of you already knows it. Maybe it's your relationship. Maybe it's the anxiety you've gotten good at hiding. Maybe it's the feeling that you're capable of more than your current patterns are allowing. Whatever brought you here, I want you to know: that awareness is the beginning of something.

I work differently than a lot of therapists. I'm not here to be a permanent fixture in your life. I'm here to help you figure out what's actually going on, do the real work, and get you to a place where you don't need me anymore. My goal is to help you move from "why does this keep happening to me" to "here's what I'm going to do about it." That shift is possible. I've seen it happen. And it doesn't have to take years.

Sessions with me are direct and focused. We're not just talking — we're building. I'll bring structure, clarity, and a clear path forward. You bring the willingness to show up honestly. Together, we figure out the rest.

If you're ready to stop managing the problem and actually solve it, I'd love to connect. Reaching out is the hardest part — and you're already here.
