Professional statement

I help young and mid-life adults (roughly 20–49) who are worn out by anxiety and tired of “managing” it without real relief. Many of the people I work with are successful, responsible, and dependable on the outside, but inside they’re stuck in relentless worry, overthinking, racing thoughts, panic symptoms, or a constant feeling that something is about to go wrong. If your mind won’t shut off, your body feels keyed up, or you’re avoiding things you know matter to you, you’re in the right place.

My approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). That means we don’t waste your time arguing with your mind or chasing perfect calm before you start living again. Instead, we focus on building practical skills to make room for anxiety without letting it run your life. You’ll learn how to respond differently to anxious thoughts, reduce avoidance, and take meaningful steps even when discomfort shows up—because confidence grows from action, not from waiting to feel “ready.”

In sessions, I’m warm, direct, and collaborative. I’ll help you spot the patterns that keep anxiety alive—reassurance-seeking, rumination, perfectionism, over-preparing, people-pleasing, or shutting down—and we’ll replace them with tools you can use in real moments. A lot of my work is helping clients shift from “How do I get rid of this feeling?” to “How do I build a life that’s worth showing up for, even with this feeling here?”

I offer sessions in-person at Acceptance Path Counseling’s Houston-area office and also provide secure telehealth for clients who prefer remote appointments. I typically have weekday availability, with limited early evening options depending on the week, and we’ll confirm scheduling, fees, and current openings when you reach out to book.

Message to clients

Before we start, I want you to know you don’t have to “have it all figured out” to come to therapy with me. If anxiety has been running your days—keeping you on edge, stuck in your head, or avoiding things you care about—there’s nothing wrong with you. Your mind and body have been trying to protect you, even if the strategies they’re using aren’t working anymore. My job is to help you understand what’s happening, and then build a practical way forward.

I also want to be clear about what our work will look like. I’m not going to ask you to pretend you’re fine, or spend session after session just talking in circles. We’ll slow things down, learn how anxiety operates in your thoughts and in your body, and practice skills you can use in real life—at work, in relationships, and in those quiet moments when everything spikes. That means we’ll gently face some of what you’ve been avoiding and reduce the habits that keep anxiety fueled, like overthinking, reassurance-seeking, and perfectionism. We’ll move at a pace that’s challenging but respectful.

My hope for you is simple: that you stop organizing your life around anxiety. I want you to be able to show up for the things that matter—without waiting for perfect confidence or total calm. Over time, you’ll build trust in yourself, not because anxiety disappears, but because you’ll know how to carry it differently and keep living anyway.
