Professional statement

Dr. Bob Nemerovski is a Licensed Psychologist and nationally recognized authority on anger management, serving adults throughout New York City and New York State via secure online sessions. His clients are mostly men — professionals, parents, and partners — who are tired of feeling out of control or watching their anger damage the relationships and careers they've worked hard to build. He also works with women navigating similar struggles, as well as adults dealing with anxiety and stress.

Dr. Bob's approach is direct and practical. Most clients want real tools, not abstract theories — and that's exactly what he delivers. Drawing from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and his own specialized Anger Toolkit developed over two decades of clinical work, he tailors every treatment plan to the individual. For clients open to going deeper, he also helps them understand the patterns that shaped their automatic reactions — and how to update them.

Dr. Bob holds a Psy.D. from The Wright Institute (Berkeley), is a Certified Specialist in Anger Management (CSAM), and an Active Full Member of the National Anger Management Association. He completed advanced training in treating anxiety disorders and social anxiety, and has served as clinical supervisor and adjunct faculty at the doctoral level. His expertise has been featured by ABC News, CBS News, NPR, and Men's Health.

Dr. Bob works exclusively via secure telehealth throughout New York City, Long Island, Westchester, and all of New York State, and is also licensed online in California and Washington.

Message to clients

If you're reading this, something has probably gotten bad enough that you're finally looking for help — and I want you to know that takes real courage, especially if therapy is new to you. Many of my clients tell me they waited longer than they should have. Wherever you are right now, you're in the right place.

Here's what I want you to know before we start: I'm not going to sit quietly and stare at you. We're going to have real conversations. I'll listen carefully, take you seriously, and give you honest feedback. I'll also challenge you when it's useful — because that's how real change happens. Most of my clients leave our sessions with something concrete they can actually use before we meet again.

My hope for every client is straightforward: that you leave our work together feeling more in control, less reactive, and genuinely better in the areas of life that matter most to you — your relationships, your work, and your sense of peace. Anger and anxiety are very treatable. You don't have to keep white-knuckling it alone.
