Professional statement

In my practice, Revive Relationship Therapy (Virginia) I specialize in couples therapy and relationship counseling for people who feel emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or stuck in repeating relationship patterns. Is that you?

Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, emotional regulation, lack of confidence, and uncertainty. Regarding relationships, many say, “I can’t do this anymore,” after years of on-again-off-again relationships, arguing, resentment, loneliness, or feeling unseen - but they don't know what to do instead! I help pinpoint the core issues (relational diagnosis,) offer clear options and solutions, and teach you how to do things differently. We practice new skills and evaluate the results until you feel great about yourself and your ability to sustain meaningful relationships.

I work with people in all relationship stages—single and burned out by dating, in long-term relationships or marriages that feel dull or chaotic, navigating divorce or infidelity, or adjusting to loss. Many of my clients notice they keep repeating the same patterns in the pursuit of love and ask themselves, Why does this keep happening? Others find themselves replaying conversations, second-guessing decisions, or comparing their lives to others who seem to have the connection and peace they want.

My approach is compassionate, grounded, and direct. I believe meaningful relational change starts with the Self, which is why much of my work—even with couples—focuses on individual awareness, emotional maturity, and personal responsibility. When I see a pattern, I name it. When you’re ready, we work thoughtfully and patiently toward change.

I bring honesty and a strong ability to cut through noise—along with a well-developed “BS detector.”

Licensed in VA and PA. Individual therapy, Couples Therapy, Groups, and 2-day couples intensive weekends. (In person and telehealth.) Use my contact form at my ReviveRT website to get started.

Message to clients

Hey there! If you’re here, I suspect you’re tired, lacking peace, or know you need help with a relationship - because that's my specialty and you probably already read that. I get it. You're tired of trying to keep everything together, tired of the same old conversations with your partner and tired of putting on a happy face and pretending everything's OK when it definitely isn't. Or, especially if you're a guy, someone else may have said, "You need a therapist!" So here we are (and I'm glad you're here.)

I know looking for a therapist can feel icky. It's someone you will open up to, bare your soul, ask for help, and hope to get a return on your investment of time and money. It's perfectly normal if you're not feeling excited about this. And I get it. But some things just never change unless we get an expert's help.

And that's what I do - help individuals and couples rapidly cut through the issues, get to the core, see the light, and learn how to do relationships differently. Emotional maturity. One person at a time (even if presenting as a couple.) You can do this. And I'm excited to do this with you.

Whether it is 1:1, group, or a weekend intensive, let's do the thing and make some life-giving changes.
