Message to clients

A Message Before We Begin

I want to explain the foundations of my work with you. I practice through a systems theory lens, recognizing that you're part of interconnected systems—your relationships, family, work, and internal world—that constantly influence each other. To help you most effectively, I need to understand not just your individual struggles, but how these systems interact and shape your life.

I'm also grounded in attachment theory, which examines how your earliest relationships shaped the way you relate today. My intention is to use evidence-based modalities, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to deepen emotional connection and repair relational patterns, Bowen Family Systems to understand multi-generational patterns, and mindfulness practices to help you stay present and regulate your nervous system.

When we work together, I'll meet you exactly where you are. My role isn't to fix you—it's to help you understand yourself more deeply within your relationships and systems. I've spent over two decades deeply studying these approaches—most struggles aren't character flaws; they're patterns that once made sense. My job is to help you recognize them, understand their origins, and help you break cycles that don't serve you.

Your life is complex, and your healing deserves nuanced attention. I'll be honest, ask tough questions, and hold space for all of you—the scared, angry, and uncertain parts too. My deepest hope for you is that you'll leave our work together feeling more at home in yourself and your relationships, less alone, and genuinely connected to what matters to you.
