Professional statement

I am a somatic, relational and holistic psychotherapist. I practice in person and virtually in Riverdale and Manhattan in NY and virtually in California and New Jersey.

I offer a wide variety of specialties including: anxiety (phobias, perfectionism, panic, ocd), depression, grief, attachment and relationship issues, stress management/ high stress corporate jobs, highly sensitive children and adolescents, parenting, couples and family therapy. I also help yoga practitioners and spiritual seekers integrate body, mind and spirit and navigate spiritual awakenings/ Kundalini processes. I specialize in working with psychotherapists.

Having done a lot of my own personal work, I deeply understand how vulnerable you might feel starting therapy. It's not easy to share your inner world with someone new and yet, it can be incredibly powerful and transformative to do so.

Therapy is a process unlike any other where you have a space all your own to share your deepest feelings and to feel held / seen in a way that often people in your life just aren't skilled to do.

In our work together, we will work somatically, holistically and relationally. Somatic therapy helps you learn how to tune into your body guiding you to your deeper feelings and gut instincts. Body focused work also helps you calm your thoughts and impulses and move through old patterns that hold you back. Relational therapy addresses your early attachment relationships and how you may have absorbed certain messages or beliefs early on that now limit your life and your potential in your relationships. Finally, working holistically means we will get to the root cause of your struggles so we can free you from them.

Message to clients

My greatest hope is that you will feel safe enough to be yourself in therapy with me. I take your therapy process very seriously and work to create an environment that feels comfortable and promotes your ability to be yourself. Therapy is a sacred process. It is an intimate encounter, often more intimate than your close relationships because we delve into your inner life and your hopes, dreams and fears. This is why I honor this space and see it as a privilege to work with you. I want it to be a place where you can safely explore your feelings and bring all of yourself which includes your worries and concerns. Together we can help you feel more supported, less judged and find tools that are tailored just for you to help you feel more whole.

Therapy with me is very directive, meaning I am very interactive and offer feedback. This is, of course, attuned to who you are and if for example, you need a lot of space to explore and just have me listen, we will do that, but I am also available to provide insights and tools to help you with your struggles. I think you will find that I am warm, caring and very approachable. I welcome your questions and your feedback as well on how this process is going for you.

I offer a free 15 minute consultation on zoom or by phone.

I look forward to accompanying you on your journey!
