Professional statement

I work with adults who feel stuck in the same emotional patterns and are ready for something deeper than surface-level coping. Many of my clients appear high-functioning but privately carry grief, shame, relational pain, or a sense that they’ve lost themselves along the way. I offer a space where you can slow down, be honest about what’s really happening, and begin to understand yourself more clearly and transform for the better.

My work is grounded in The Crucible Neurobiological Approach® and Natural Processing. Together, these approaches help you understand mental habits and how your nervous system, identity, and relationships have been shaped over time, while also allowing emotions to move through you without being forced or avoided. I pay close attention to what’s happening in real time between us—especially when things feel uncomfortable—because those moments often reveal the patterns that keep you stuck.

I’m direct, relational, and engaged in the work with you. I’ll ask questions, slow things down when it matters, and help you notice what you’re doing as it’s happening. Therapy isn’t about fixing you or giving quick answers—it’s about helping you build a stronger, more solid sense of self that can hold under emotional pressure.

I specialize in helping clients:

• Work through grief and loss (including complicated or unresolved grief)

• Break patterns of self-abandonment, over-functioning, or people-pleasing

• Understand why relationships keep feeling painful or unfulfilling

• Build a stronger, more solid sense of self under emotional pressure

• Tolerate difficult emotions without shutting down, numbing out, or exploding

I am based in Houston, Texas, where I offer in-person sessions, and I also provide virtual therapy through A Better Me Wellness to clients in Texas, Illinois, and Nevada. I work best with clients who are curious, open, and willing to engage honestly—even when it’s challenging.

Message to clients

Therapy with me is not about quick fixes or surface-level insight. If you’re used to managing, coping, or talking your way through things, you may notice that I slow the process down and bring attention to what’s happening underneath that. We’ll look closely at how your mind works and the patterns you’re living inside of; especially the ones that show up when you feel uncomfortable, uncertain, or exposed in real-time.

I pay attention to what happens in real time between us, not just what you report from your life outside of session. That means we’re not only talking about your external relationships; we’re also paying attention to how you relate to yourself, and how those same patterns show up in the room.

At times, I’ll ask direct questions or point out something you might be avoiding. That’s intentional. The goal isn’t to push you, but to help you see yourself clearly enough that something begins to shift—not just in how you think, but in how you actually show up in your life and relationships. As that happens, the patterns that have been keeping you stuck start to break down in real time.

This work asks something of you. It requires honesty, willingness, and the capacity to stay present with yourself when it would be easier not to. My hope is that, over time, you develop a more solid sense of who you are—one that holds under pressure and doesn’t collapse in the moments that matter most.
