Practice Information

Welcome to Curative Counseling, where healing is rooted in honesty, connection, and cultural clarity.

We specialize in working with individuals and couples who are navigating emotionally exhausting patterns, whether that’s relationship stress, identity-related burnout, or the deep fatigue of being the “strong one” for everyone else. Our clients are often high-functioning and emotionally aware, but silently unraveling. They’ve read the books, prayed through the hard seasons, and are ready for something more than surface-level support.

Our team is made up of compassionate, culturally responsive clinicians who are deeply committed to doing the work, both personally and professionally. We create therapy spaces where you don’t have to over-explain your identity or minimize your truth. Each of our therapists brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and lived experience to the table, offering care that is affirming, direct, and emotionally present.

What makes us different? At Curative Counseling, we don’t do “band-aid therapy.” We do deep work, the kind that honors your full story, challenges harmful patterns, and helps you build relationships (including the one with yourself) that feel safe, reciprocal, and aligned. Whether you're looking for individual therapy, couples work, or supervision that doesn't gloss over cultural realities, you're in the right place.

FAQS

What services does your practice offer?

Curative Counseling is a culturally responsive therapy group offering individual, couples, and supervision services to clients across several states via telehealth. We specialize in relationship-focused care, emotional burnout, identity exploration, and support for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals navigating high-functioning distress, disconnection, and life transitions.

What are your practice's specialties?

The therapists at Curative Counseling specialize in relationships, attachment wounds, emotional burnout, and identity-related stress. We have a particular focus on supporting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients who feel stuck in cycles of disconnection, over-functioning, or feeling unseen in their relationships. Our clinicians are skilled in working with couples, individuals, and emerging therapists seeking affirming, emotionally deep care.

Why should I choose your practice?

Curative Counseling is unique in that all of our clinicians provide therapy that is culturally affirming, emotionally deep, and grounded in lived experience—not just textbook theory. We don’t offer passive support or quick fixes; we walk with clients through the real work of healing. Whether you’re navigating relationship stress, burnout, or identity-related challenges, we offer therapy that sees the whole of who you are.

How does payment work at your practice?

At Curative Counseling, we are in-network with several insurance panels including Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Optum, United Healthcare, and others depending on the provider. For clients using out-of-network benefits or paying privately, our fees typically range from $120–$180 per session. We also offer superbills upon request and are happy to walk you through using your benefits.
